U16 vs Chiltern – 10/02/13 – Aylesbury High School

Hard work in training pays off for U16 boys team

Following some hard work in recent training sessions, the U16 boys team got off to a great start by beating Chiltern. Running an offence that had developed since the last set of games, the team were able to get open more easily and make better decisions in shooting opportunities. Often one more extra pass led to an easier high percentage shot. The team were also a lot more disciplined and focussed only making 3 turnovers in the entire game! Everyone contributed, with Ashley Selvester and Bill Welch leading the scoring with 13pts and 10pts respectively. Jack Brett made an impressive 4 blocks, Max Caswell had 5 steals and Fen Clement-Dawson had 4 assists. The team made 17 out of 51 shots (33%) so that is something to work on for the playoffs, although 4 out of 5 free throws made was good from the stripe.

 Final Score: Scorpions 38 – 27 Chiltern
